Del-Nat Tire Annual Stockholder Meeting and Supplier Trade Show April 1st - 3rd, 2004
April 6, 2004 - Over 300 people were in attendance, including Del-Nat Stockholders, Direct Distributors, Suppliers and Corporate Staff. A reception was held Thursday evening in celebration of Del-Nat's 15 years in business. Delta and National Tire Corporations have history that dates back over 50 years. In 1989, the two companies merged to form Del-Nat Tire Corporation. The meetings were held at several sites across Memphis including Del-Nat's Distribution Center. The group also attended an NBA game where the Memphis Grizzlies were victorious over the Phoenix Suns, 109 to 99. Four lucky stockholders sat courtside for the game and also won the honor to high five the Grizzlies team members during introductions.
During the Supplier Trade Show, Del-Nat Stockholders and Direct Distributors had the opportunity to meet with suppliers and discuss existing and new product lines. Many door prizes were donated by suppliers including a set of golf clubs, a 15" Super Slim LCD TV, and courtside seats at the basketball game. Supplier participants included: Alpha Tire Corp., Arras Group, BADA/Hennessy, China Manufacturers Alliance LLC, Computer Resources, Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Group 31 Inc., Hankook Tire America Corp., Hunter Engineering, Maxxis International, Pro Comp Tires, Superstone Tire Co., Tiretyte Tire Sealant, Toyo Tire Corp., Universal Underwriters Group and Yokohama Tire Corp.
Dick Hansen, Vice President of Private Brand Tire Sales for Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. was the keynote speaker and gave an informative speech during the general session meeting. His focus was Cooper and its private brand business position. All in all, this event was beneficial to everyone who attended. The Stockholders and Direct Distributors departed Memphis enthusiastic about 2004 and Del-Nat Tire Corporation.
